We had the best time!

We were lucky to spend a week as a family at one of Sonia and Mark’s beautiful gites.
Everything was perfect from start to finish : the communication before, during and even after our stay, the lovely welcome when we arrived :). The gite was very clean, spacious, and had everything you could possibly need! It’s the best equipped gite we have ever stayed in.
The inside space was so comfortable, it was like being at home, and wonderfully decorated and very clean.
The outside space was beautiful, an amazing pool, a perfect dining area to relax and eat, and again so well equipped. Nothing was missing at all. It was also very calm and private which is really appreciated!:)
Another plus was the location of the gite, and only about 5 minutes away by car from the beautiful village of Monpazier 🙂
Mark and Sonia are extremely kind and helpful and were always there if we needed them, and made sure everything was perfect and as comfortable as possible for our stay 🙂

The cottages are very well decorated and equipped, The hosts provide linens, a small amount of consumables for all equipment (capsules and ground coffee for the coffee maker, shampoo and shower gel, garbage bags etc.) for a hassle-free setup.

The hosts were very welcoming and the place was perfect! We were here to attend a wedding nearby so didn’t spend too much time at the property but we really enjoyed the swimming pool. The property is very spacious and we would highly recommend staying here. Hopefully we’ll be back soon.

Maison Monpazier and Maison Eymet – Family Occasion
We stayed with our kids and grandchildren, 6 people in all, and had room to spare at these adjoining gites. What a fabulous time we had! Sonia and Mark are the most lovely hosts ever. They live in a separate house on the property and were always there to help us but were never intrusive. Everything was impeccably clean and the property was every bit as inviting as the photos. The swimming pool was nice and warm; the kitchen was incredibly well stocked with pots, pans, serving pieces, as well as having great appliances. The location was fabulous— 5 minutes away from the beautiful little medieval town of Monpazier, 15-20 minutes away from countless other medieval towns, 45 minutes from the cave paintings at Font-de-Gaume, 45 minutes from Sarlat, 40 minutes from many castles/chateaux including Beynac, Castelnaud, and Milandes, where performer/spy for the Resistance Josephine Baker lived. I can’t imagine a better vacation!

Loved our stay in Capdrot! The location for the BnB is very beautiful and peaceful! One of the best BnBs we’ve come across. Very modern, clean, private and has that really homely feeling that made us so comfortable. Also the kitchen is very well stocked which allowed us to do some great cooking with the local food. Sonya was also very accommodating and great to deal with, would highly recommend!

What an incredible property! We have stayed in many great gites over the years but this one tops the lot. You have total privacy in the gite with a private pool, terrace and gardens coupled with an inside space that gives family and friends privacy and social spaces as required. The gite is very well appointed with aircon throughout plus ceiling fans in the bedrooms. The kitchen is incredible with exceptional appliances and every conceivable gizmo for cooking..plus multiple corkscrews just in case you buy a a case of Petrus from St Emilion. The gite was clean as a whistle throughout, the beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were lovely with a nice addition of a heated towel rail to help dry your towels or swimming costumes. Mark and Sonia had set us up with a few essentials also which was a nice surprise, a bottle of rosé in the fridge, some snacks and a full bag of BBQ coals and lighters which we managed to use… alot. When you stay in a gite, other than the property itself what really makes the holiday is the hosts. Mark and Sonia were fab, from the warm greeting to the occasional unintrusive check in to make sure were we OK..a truly lovely couple. We would return here in a heartbeat, there was really nothing we would want to change to improve our experience.

We stayed for a week and hired both gites for our family. It was utterly perfect in every way – we wanted for nothing. We most enjoyed the privacy of the main pool which overlooks luscious countryside bustling with life and the stunning western sunsets in the cool sky. Sonia and Mark are consumate well experienced hosts who always try to accommodate any requests where possible. We highly recommend this if you wish for an up market break in a beautiful countryside location near all the Beautiful Villages and vineyards/caves of the Lot/Dordogne area – within an easy drive of Bergerac/Bordeaux airports. This lovely gite was extremely well equipped to a very high standard throughout, including high speed internet – which was an absolute bonus. The setting is very peaceful but with many beautiful villages to visit withing a 15 minute radius, further afield and Bergerac airport just 40 minutes away. Hosts Sonia and Mark could not have been more welcoming and helpful whilst also very discreet, despite living onsite. We made a very last minute booking and, having a wheelchair user in our party, we had very little choice in properties, so we were incredibly lucky to have found Sonia and Mark’s gite, which was perfect for our needs (and for those of any group looking for a peaceful location from which to explore the wider area). We were also shown around the small conference/business facilities which are really impressive and ideal for small corporate events/meetings/activities. I could not recommend this gite more highly and know that there will soon be many excellent reviews to read

We were a group of 11 friends and rented the 2 houses which are adjoined by a small barn. Very warm and friendly welcome, 4-star services, large living spaces, high quality bedding, heated swimming pool and private outdoor space, walks in the forest around the gîtes. We were all able to gather in the larger house for meals and evenings, warmed by the Wood Burner already on when we arrived! Lovely Gite, that is very well equipped with the owners having thought of even the smallest details of what you might require on holiday. Top notch mod-cons from washer to dryer, and a plethora of coffee making options. Comfortable bedrooms and clean bathrooms, and despite a 40 degree heatwave, the Gite was cool, and the overhead fans in the bedrooms were silent and made sleeping very comfortable. The highlight was the swimming pool, which was clean, warm and has a lovely terrace for dining and drinks. Most importantly, the owners were polite, discreet and extremely helpful when needed. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Had a fantastic holiday in this wonderful Gite which located in the stunning Dordogne countryside.
Everything about this property is first class from the quality beds and linen to all of the many first rate appliances, a proper home from home with nothing missing. The pool was an absolute godsend as was the highly efficient and quiet air conditioning which is present in every room. The location was perfect just a 5 minute drive from the beautiful medieval town of Monpazier.
Sonia and Mark were the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble but you didn’t know they were there.

We had a wonderful holiday. The Gite has been renovated to exceptionally high standards. Air conditioning, black out electric blinds upstairs rooms. En-suite rooms with lovely toiletries.
Great little pool which the kids loved -with fun ‘noodles’, beach ball and a BBQ outside. Sun loungers, gazebo, and outside table and chairs.
Beautiful tranquil location, next to small farm, overlooking fields and classic traditional French countryside. Images are synonymous with Van Gaugh paintings.
Good location with plenty of day trip possibilities within an hour or so drive – caves, many Chateaus (castles), Bastide towns and Dordogne river and canoe/kayak trips. Monpazier – 7 minute drive – a stunning Bastide town with lovely restaurants and so beautiful.
Hosts were fabulous – incredibly responsive to any need – from topping up the pool if needed, removing bugs with a gadget, helping to book trips, plenty of advice and support if needed.
The Gite is full of all mod cons – self dosing washer dryer, smoothie maker, induction hob, smart TV and excellent reliable broadband – even when outside!!
We would be finitely go back and highly recommend.
